MOSCOW, September 24 (Itar-Tass) — The State Duma faction of the United Russia party suggests amending the Russian Penal Code by restoring an article on responsibility for insulting the feelings of god believers.

Sergey Popov, the first deputy head of the Russian State Duma Committee for Public Associations and religious organizations, told a meeting of the inter-factional group for the protection of Christian values on Monday that a relevant bill was expected to be submitted next week.

“We will demand restoring an article on responsibility for insulting the feelings of god believers in the Penal Code,” he said.
