Kazakhstan’s parliament factions support candidature of Akhmetov for premiership

ASTANA, September 24 (Itar-Tass) —— The lower house of Kazakhstan’s parliament agreed to appointment of Serik Akhmetov the country’s prime minister.

“All the three factions in the mazhilis /parliament’s lower house/ have supported the candidature of Kazakhstan’s new Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov,” Deputy Mukhtar Tinikeyev said on Monday.

His colleague Murat Abanov said Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev had issued an order to appoint Serik Akhmetov the country’s prime minister.

“The order on appointment of Akhmetov has been signed right now,” Deputy Abenov said.
