Blaze at food depots localized in Komsomolsk on Amur

According to preliminary data, noone has been injured and there has been no loss of life

KHABAROVSK, September 24 (Itar-Tass) — A blaze that broke out at the depots of a food supply center in Komsomolsk on Amur on Monday morning has been localized two and a half hours after a message about the fire reached the Fire Department, an official at the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (RME) center for the Khabarovsk Territory has told Itar-Tass.

According to preliminary data, noone has been injured and there has been no loss of life. The flame enveloped depot premises with an aggregate area of about 1,000 square metres.

Washing-down is currently under way at the scene of the fire. Seventy-nine workers of fire prevention services, among them 52 specialists of the RME and 21 units of machinery have been involved in fire-fighitng efforts.
