MINSK, September 23 (Itar-Tass) — Over five days before the main voting at Belarusian parliamentary elections, 25.9 percent voters participated in early elections, Secretary of the republic’s Central Elections Commission Nikolai Lozovik said on Sunday.

He said that “voters were slightly less active that at the previous parliamentary elections four years earlier, where 26 percent voted early.”

Lozovik said in Belarus “some electors have this tradition: who used to vote early, did so this time, too.”

The secretary said that on the main voting day all election stations had opened. “We have not received any information on accidents. Everything is quiet, the elections continue normally,” he said.
