MOSCOW, September 20 (Itar-Tass) — The urban and land commission of Moscow Town Hall rejected the project to build an Islamic humanitarian center with a mosque in the Mitino district, the press service of the mayor and city government said after the commission's meeting on Thursday.
The officials explained the decision by objections by part of the Mitino residents.
Earlier plans designated Baryshikha Street, House 57 as its location.
The press service said the commission issued the instruction to consider other locations for the mosque while taking into account the opinion of the population.
