No compromises are possible in this issue, this is my position, the president shares this position, - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev

MOSCOW, September 20 (Itar-Tass) —— The budget for 2013-2015 will be strictly based on the budget rule, the debates over the main financial document in the country are over in the government, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a governmental meeting on Thursday.

“The principles are based on the parameters, which are set in the budget rule, no compromises are possible in this issue, this is my position, the president shares this position,” he said.

The prime minister noted that “the budget is dictated by a real economic situation, which had emerged in the country and the world.” “I do not like this situation, as it is difficult,” he noted.

Medvedev recalled that “the budget was drafted according to a strict budget rule for the first time that makes it more stable.” “Therefore, the budget is tight and heavy in some aspects,” Medvedev stated. He acknowledged that “several budget decisions were not easy for the government and me personally.” “But these decisions were taken, the debates over them in the government and round the government are over,” Medvedev said to the members of the government.

“The budget will be submitted in the State Duma within concrete deadlines,” the premier underlined.
