NAZRAN, September 20 (Itar-Tass) — The zone of counterterrorist operation (KTO) has been broadened in Nazran District of the Republic of Ingushetia on Thursday, a spokesman for the republican operations headqurters has told Itar-Tass.
The spokesman said the KTO regime had been introduced from 06:00, Moscow time, in Nazran on Tutayev, Moskovskaya, and Chechenskaya streets, in the area of the Nazran-Beslan railway line, and on the Kavkaz (Caucasus) Federal Road.
The measure was taken in view of the latest update received about gang figures hiding in the area, the spokesman pointed out.
