Drugs control service ready to turn over investigative functions to SK

The point at issue are investigations into drugs-related crimes

MOSCOW, September 18 (Itar-Tass) —The Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation or FSKN is prepared to turn over its investigative functions to the Russian Investigative Committee (SK) if such a decision is made by the Russian leadership, FSKN Chief Viktor Ivanov told journalists on Tuesday.

“As far as SK is concerned we are watching its effective work and professionalism of its investigators. As for turning over some of our functions this will be done given a resolution of the leadership of the country. We will fulfill this resolution if it is adopted,” Ivanov said.

The point at issue are investigations into drugs-related crimes.
