Free WiFi becomes available on four long-distance trains in Russia

This is a pilot project. The trains travel in the areas covered by the Megafon G3 network

MOSCOW, September 16 (Itar-Tass) —— Free WiFi service is now available on four long-distance trains in Russia, Federal Passenger Company (Russian Railways subsidiary) press secretary Yelena Miroshnikova told Itar-Tass.

She said the service was now available on the Nevsky Express making shuttle trips between Moscow and St. Petersburg, the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod Burevestnik, the Moscow-Helsinki Leo Tolstoy and the St. Petersburg-Nizhny Novgorod Volga.

"Users of notebooks, tablets, mobile phone and other devices connected to WiFi may use the service," she said. "This is a pilot project. The trains travel in the areas covered by the Megafon G3 network."

Moscow-Astrakhan and Moscow-Samara trains will join the project by the end of this year.
