Russia-Belarus-Ukraine joint venture may be formed to repair, modernize aircraft

MOSCOW, September 16 (Itar-Tass) —— A joint venture of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine will repair and modernize aircraft of CIS defense organizations, the Russian DOSAAF media center told Itar-Tass. It said the proposal was made at the fourth plenary meeting of the CIS DOSAAF Union in Kiev.

“The Belarusian delegation proposed to set up a joint venture, probably, a whole plant to repair and modernize aircraft. The delegates said they would analyze the proposal and present their suggestions within a short time,” it said.

The meeting was attended by delegates of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine.
