SOCHI, September 16 (Itar-Tass) —— The largest dolphinarium of Russia opened at the Sochi Riviera Park on Saturday.
The dolphinarium pool is 35 to 15 meters in size and has the depth of 6.34 meters. It can accommodate 1,300 viewers. The dolphinarium will be open all the year round.
The biggest observation wheel of the country was started up in the Lazarevsky District Park this summer, which increased the park’s attendance by 30%, Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov said. “The new dolphinarium in the Riviera Park will be another tourist attraction,” he said.
The dolphinarium presents three dolphins, two seals and a baby sea lion. The same as the two other dolphinaria of Sochi, it will spread knowledge about sea mammals and campaign for nature conservancy. It will also have a dolphin therapy program for children with disabilities.
