YALTA, September 15 (Itar-Tass) — Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich does not rule a new arms race with the United States if Mitt Romey wins the upcoming presidential elections in America.
“If Mitt Romey wins, the U.S. may go back to the time when a large portion of revenue will be redistributed in favour of one small group of persons and new military programmes will be launched,” Dvorkovich said at the 9th annual meeting “Yalta European Strategy” on Saturday, September 15.
“Unfortunately military programmes will play an increasingly growing role in our country as well,” he said.
When asked who will be the next president in the U.S., Dvorkovich said, “This is the choice to be made by the American people.”
“We will work with any person elected as U.S. president,” he added.
