MOSCOW, September 15 (Itar-Tass) —— State Duma Chairman Sergei Naryshkin signed the resolution on the early termination of Gennady Gudkov's powers on Friday evening, September 14.
The lower house's public relations department confirmed this to Itar-Tass on Saturday.
"The speaker signed the resolution in the evening yesterday," a source at the department said.
From the time when it is signed, Gudkov, deputy head of the Just Russia Party's members in the Duma, is not a Duma member any longer.
On Friday, the Russian parliament's lower house by a vote ceased Gudkov's mandate. The Just Russia member, one of the party's leaders, is stripped of the status of a legislator for his entrepreneurship activities, which must not be combined with work in the Duma. Gudkov disagrees and intends to appeal to the Supreme Court against the decision.
