No coloured revolution possible in Russia, Russia’s deputy security chief

No such conflicts are possible in our country, he stressed

CHOLPON-ATA, Kyrgyzstan, September 14 (Itar-Tass) — No “coloured revolution” scenarios are possible in Russia, first deputy director of Russia’s Federal Security Service Sergei Smirrov said on Friday.

“Speaking about Russia from the point of view of a possible “colored revolution” or such conflicts that flared up in Africa and Asia, we must look into their causes. In Russia, we have no such reasons,” he told journalists after a meeting of the Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Kyrgyzstan’s resort town of Cholpon-Ata on Lake Issyk Kul. “Russia has strong authorities, professional security services and law enforcement agencies, which will be able to get reliable information about possible conflict at an early stage.”

“No such conflicts are possible in our country,” he stressed.
