MOSCOW, September 11 (Itar-Tass) —— Moldova hopes to achieve accords on several economic issues, including the supplies of energy resources, Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat said during Tuesday’s meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow.

The Russian prime minister pointed to rather intensive bilateral contacts at all levels. “We have held several meetings and agreed that you will make a visit to our country in autumn,” Medvedev told his Moldovan counterpart, adding, “I am glad to see you and to discuss all aspects of bilateral and international relations, including energy cooperation, the balance of mutual trade and agricultural trade.”

He is confident that the meeting will round out with the signing of a whole range of important documents, which will “facilitate development of comprehensive interaction between the two countries.”

The Moldovan prime minister, in turn, thanked for the invitation to visit Russia. In his words, the negotiating process is of huge importance for Moldova. “We are hopeful that we can achieve accord in many spheres of bilateral relations,” Filat said, adding that he meant the energy sector and humanitarian sphere. He also stated that he is glad with the setting up of bilateral cultural contacts. In particular, Filat mentioned that Moldova’s folk dance group Jok gave a concert in Moscow on Monday.
