MOSCOW, September 10 (Itar-Tass) — Deputy head of A Just Russia faction in the State Duma lower house of Russia's parliament Gennady Gudkov hopes that the European Parliament will adopt a resolution denouncing the actions of RF law enforcement agencies against him.

“The European Parliament will hold a hearing of the matter at a plenary meeting over the next two days,” Gudkov told journalists on Monday before a meeting of the relevant commission of the State Duma, which is currently studying the results of an ongoing probe against him.

He hopes that “on the prepared draft decision the European Parliament by the vote of all factions will condemn such activities as encroaching on the foundations of parliamentarism.” “I think that we will be able to get familiarised with this resolution on Thursday or maybe on Friday, simultaneously with the events that will take place in the State Duma (on the possible stripping Gudkov of his mandate),” he added.

Answering a question whether he is engaged in some kind of business, Gudkov ironically said that his “business now is to collect some documents and give some conclusions on that rubbish of which (he) is accused in the State Duma.” “I’m engaged in this business 146 percent of my time,” the MP said.

He also claimed that “illegal eavesdropping of MP Gudkov, his illegal outdoor surveillance, and everything else are still conducted".
