VLADIVOSTOK, September 8 (Itar-Tass) —— The so-called Magnitsky List was not on the agenda of the meeting between Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“We are not going to ask the US about contents of whatever lists, which have nothing to do with the real problem, with the judicial process going on in the Russian Federation,” Lavrov said on Saturday following the meeting.
“We were not discussing this topic during the meeting with Hillary Clinton, as the American side is fully aware of unacceptable attempts to replace the anti-Soviet legislation with anti-Russian one,” Lavrov said. “They realise clearly that it was a true damage to our relations.”
