MOSCOW, September 4 (Itar-Tass) — The Moscow Regional Court has found the guilty verdict unlawful for Igor Kondratyev (artistic nickname Konstantin Krestov), who was sentenced to two years and four months for raping and sexual violence against two young women, one of which was underage at the moment.

So, the plea of the injured parties was satisfied, as they asked to cancel the verdict as unlawful and ungrounded. The public prosecutor also insisted on the cancellation of the verdict over a lenient sentence envisaged in it.

This criminal case became highly publicized in the media and in the public only over a surprisingly short term in prison. The term, which Krestov spent in the detention centre, was included in the foresaid term of imprisonment, and so, he could have been released already on September 7. Meanwhile, the lawyer of the injured party claims that Krestov has previously committed similar actions many times, particularly against adolescents.

“Certainly, the injured parties are satisfied with the verdict of the regional court, we believe that the justice will triumph,” lawyer of the injured party Oksana Mikhalkina told Itar-Tass after the court session.

The Khimki District Court found Krestov guilty under Article 131 Part 1 of the Criminal Code for raping that is a sexual intercourse with the use of violence or the threat for the use of violence and under Article 132 Part 1 for sexual violence or the threat of violence through a partially cumulated sentence he was sentenced to two years and four months in a general security penitentiary.

The court found that the defendant seduced a 16-year-old girl in the car under the simple pretext in 2010 and threatening to her with his ties and the murder of her parents, he committed violent sexual actions against her.

His guilt in the second episode over the raping of the young woman was proved as well.

Despite the attempts of the singer to pose as insane, he was found sane.

The criminal materials will be brought back soon to the Khimki District Court, which will set the date of a retrial, but already with a new judge.
