BERLIN, September 4 (Itar-Tass) — A yet another strike of Lufthansa cabin crews that will be held at Berlin’s Tegel airport, which is due to be held from 05:00 hours to 13:00 hours local time may affect a number of flights between Berlin and Moscow.
The first flight is scheduled to take off at 08:35 and to head for Moscow’s Vnukovo airport and the second flight, which is also bound for Vnukovo, is due to take off at 15:50.
Lufthansa cabin crews’ eight-hours-long strike that was held in the airport of Frankfurt-am-Main Friday resulted in the cancellation of about 200 flights, both domestic and international.
The trade union action affected about 26,000 passengers, Russians among them.
UFO, the cabin crews trade union that brings together some 19,000 members urged flight attendants to organize actions of protest last week after a failure of talks with the employers on revising the salaries. UFO demands a 5% increase of the latter and an improvement of work conditions.
The argument between the trade union and employers broke out more than a year ago.
