MOSCOW, September 3 (Itar-Tass) — Over 500,000 people took part in September 2 festivities on the occasion of City Day in Moscow, an official in the presss service of the city department of the Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Monday.
"In the course of the day, over half a million people attended festive events, with 300,000 of them participating in those taking place in the center of the capital. There were no incidents or breaches of public order," he said.
The press service official added that 100,000 people were present at Poklonnaya Hill events, 77,000 went to the All-Russia Exhibition Center, 25,000 were in the Gorky Park, 32,500 travelledto Tsaritsyno, 17,500 to Kolomenskoyev, and 6,500 people were present at the Spasskaya Tower festival.
The public order was ensured by more than 8,000 members of the personnel of law enforcement agencies, the official recalled.
