MOSCOW, September 2 (Itar-Tass) —— Saravia flight 6W2934 carrying clients of the bankrupt Cherry Tur tour operator departed from Pula, Croatia, to Rostov-on-Don at 4:10 p.m. local time (6:10 p.m. Moscow time) on Sunday.

The aircraft took aboard 116 Russian tourists. The Pula airport timetable says the RusLine flight RLU9708 to Krasnodar is due at 10:30 p.m. Moscow time.

About 90 Cherry Tur clients passed border control at the Pula Airport the day before but it appeared there was no plane waiting for them. Tourists were asked to leave the airport after they had waited for several hours – the airport was closing for the night. Russian Union of Travel Industry (RUTI) press secretary Irina Tyurina said the tourists were not offered food or accommodation.
