ULAN-UDE, September 1 (Itar-Tass) — Fifty-two tourists, including 12 children, were saved from a fire that fully destroyed a hotel in a small resort village of Arshan, the Republic of Buryatia.

No deaths were reported.

There is no information about the whereabouts of a 63-year-old woman. The search is underway, the republic’s emergencies department told Itar-Tass.

All people were accommodated in neighbouring hotels.

Neglect of fire safety is named as a preliminary version of the fire in a two-storey wooden hotel owned by a firm from Irkutsk. The building was heated with electric convectors.
