MOSCOW, August 31 (Itar-Tass) — About 30 people were detained on Moscow’s Triumfalnaya Square on Friday night, the city police told reporters.
“About 30 people were detained for holding an unpermitted action on Triumfalnaya Square. They were taken to a police station pending administrative charges,” the police said.
One of the detainees, a Strategy 31 activist, climbed on top of a press kiosk and unfolded a flag with the 31 digit symbolizing protests held on the 31st day of each month, which has 31 days in it. Other Russia unregistered party leader Eduard Limonov has been detained, too.
