MOSCOW, August 30 (Itar-Tass) — Overall investment in preparations for the summit conference of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum /APEC/ stands at 679.3 bln rubles, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Roman Panov, said Thursday during a televised linkup with Vladivostok.
“Allocations from the federal budget totaled 219 billion rubles,” he said. “Another 34.6 billion rubles was allocated from the budget of the Primorsky /Maritime/ territory and about 425 billion rubles came from the non-budgetary sources.”
He indicated that all the facilities designated specially for the summit are a hundred percent ready. “Of the 65 facilities, the authorities have commissioned 46 by signing the appropriate documents and the construction of another 19 facilities has been completed,”
At the peak of construction works that fell on last year the total number of workers at the sites related to the summit exceeded 28,000.
Local residents made up 13,000 of that number, while another 6,000 to 6,000 workers came from other regions of the country and the rest came from former Soviet republics or foreign countries.
The fleet of machinery at the construction sites reached 4,200 units.
