Two Russians remain in Turkey’s hospital after road accident

Other injured tourists were discharged and returned to their hotels

MOSCOW, August 30 (Itar-Tass) — Two Russian tourists injured in a road accident in Turkey’s biggest Mediterranean Sea resort of Antalya remain in a hospital, an official of the Russian consulate-general in Antalya, Sergei Koritsky, told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

“Other injured tourists were discharged and returned to their hotels. They are regularly taken to hospitals for changing bandages and undergoing medical examination,” he said.

The consulate is preparing documents for the body of a woman killed in the accident to be taken to Russia, the diplomat said.

On August 29 a truck collided with a bus full of Russian tourists near Turkey’s town of Serik, 50 kilometers of Antalya. As a result, a young woman and a truck driver died and eleven more tourists were injured.

The investigation is underway.
