MOSCOW, August 29 (Itar-Tass) — Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Education and Science Ministry to prepare proposals on the reorganisation of ineffective higher educational institutions by March 2013.
“The Ministry of Education will monitor the work of Russian higher educational institutions until the end of the year and submit proposals on the reorganisation of the least effective ones by March 2013,” Medvedev said at a meeting on the readiness of the educational system for the start of a new academic year, held on Wednesday, August 29.
He stressed that “students in such institutions are not to be blamed for anything and they must not be affected. They will be able to continue studying in other higher educational institutions that will appear after reorganisation”.
