MOSCOW, August 29 (Itar-Tass) — Thanks to well-arranged work of emergency teams of territorial power utilities electric power supplies were fully restored in the Primorsky Territory. Electric power supplies were not disrupted for the APEC summit sites, the press service of the Russian Energy Ministry said on Wednesday.

Due to stormy winds and torrential rains, which the Bolaven typhoon triggered, electric power supplies were partially disrupted in several districts in the Primorsky Territory on Wednesday. Several measures made it possible to minimize the aftermaths of the impact of the natural disaster.

“Facilities of the Russian Far East energy sector were prepared to the natural disaster beforehand. After a storm warning on August 28 emergency teams of the power utilities were put on high alert. The urgent monitoring was made, communication devices and equipment were provided. Meanwhile, the personnel passed additional training, constant cooperation with meteorological services and emergency services was ensured,” the press service reported.
