MOSCOW, August 28 (Itar-Tass) — People spending their holidays at resorts of Gelendzhik, Novorossiisk and in the Krymsk district of Russia’s southern Krasnodar region must not fear outbreaks of infectious diseases, the press service of Rosturizm Federal Tourism Agency reported on Tuesday referring to the regional ministry for resorts and tourism.
The epidemiological situation there is calm, and no outbreaks of infectious diseases are fixed, Rosturizm sources said. All beaches of Gelendzhik and Novorossiisk are open and function in a routine regime.
A devastating flood hit Gelendzhik, Krymsk, Novorossiisk and several settlements of the Krasnodar region overnight to July 7. Krymsk was the hardest hit.
