NAZRAN, August 28 (Itar-Tass) — An unprecedented large-scale operation to search for and detain militants engaged in preparing acts of terrorism and involved in the blast at a funeral of a policeman in the village of Sagopshi was held in Ingushetia’s Malgobek region on Tuesday, ITAR-TASS learnt at the law enforcement bodies of the republic.
“As a result, three militants were destroyed and two men suspected of participation in the activity of illegal armed formations were detained. Arms and a lot of ammunition were seized,” the source said.
As a result of the act of terrorism at a funeral of a policeman in the village of Sagopshi on August 19, eight policemen died and another 15 were injured.
