GORNO-ALTAISK, August 27 (Itar-Tass) — Over 70 guests from Russia, China, Bulgaria, Japan, Great Britain, the United States, France and Hong Kong arrive on Monday in Yakutia where the so-called Diamond Week begins for tourists.
This fam-trip will continue till August 31. The guests will have a possibility to familiarize themselves with the production, procession and sorting of diamonds and their transformation into shiny diamonds, the press service of the republican prime minister told Tass.
The official unveiling of the Diamond Week will take place in Yakutsk on Wednesday. A conference will be held on that day with participation of Yakutia’s President Yegor Borisov, representatives of the diamond and tourism industries, as well as PR and branding specialists.
A jewelry vernisage will be held in the afternoon. Jewelry of eight leading companies from Yakutia, including exclusive pieces of jewelry, will be put on sale. A sightseeing tour is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday.
On August 30, there will be an auction of certified high-quality Yakut diamonds. Exclusive collections of jewelry will be presented on Thursday as well.
Each visitor will be able to choose a diamond, a setting for it and create together with an expert and jeweler an exclusive piece of jewelry.
