KHABAROVSK, August 26 (Itar-Tass) — For the period before and during the APEC summit in Vladivostok in early September, Russia and China intensify border guard, Russia’s border guard in Khabarovsk Territory said on Sunday.
“Border controlling divisions of Russia’s Far East and China’s Heilongjiang Province have undertaken preventive measures to avoid incidents at the border. Thus, since beginning of August there was only one case of illegal crossing of the state border and violation of the border regime by two citizens of China with the purpose of fishing in Russia’s territorial waters,” the source said.
