MAKHACHKALA, August 23 (Itar-Tass) — Law-enforcement agents in Dagestan are looking for the abettors of the gunmen who attacked a police post in Tsuntinsky district on Wednesday. "An unidentified man in the Kamaz truck fired an assault rifle on the checkpoint near the village of Mokok during document check at around 21:00, Moscow time, on Wednesday. A serviceman was killed in the shooting, and three police were injured, the republic’s Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass.
The attacker was killed in return fire. The Kamaz driver and the passenger escaped. Police retrieved a Kalashnikov assault rifle from the scene.
