MOSCOW, August 22 (Itar-Tass) — Investigators additionally classified the suicide bomber's explosion at the funeral of a police officer in the Malgobek district on August 19 as an act of terror, Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said. Criminal proceedings were opened under Article 205 /"act of terror"/.
On Sunday morning, when police arrive at the Ingush village of Sagopshi for the funeral of their colleague, a suicide bomber approached them and blasted himself, killing eight policemen and injuring another 15. The crime was committed on the Uraza Bayram holiday that marked completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
