MOSCOW, August 19 (Itar-Tass) —— The United States strongly condemns the terrorist act in Ingushetia and the attack on civilians in Dagestan, the U.S. Embassy in Moscow said on Sunday.
It said the attacks were particularly regretful because they took place on the eve of Uraza Bayram, the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The Sunday explosion in Sagapshi, Magobek district of Ingushetia, killed seven policemen and wounded ten. A suicide bomber approached a group of policemen burying their colleague, Ilez Korigov, at about 9:40 a.m., and blasted the bomb, the Ingush department of the Russian Investigation Committee said.
Two men broke into a mosque on Gamidov Street in Khasavyurt, Dagestan, on Saturday and opened gunfire at the believers. Eight people were wounded.
