China demands Japan stops violating country’s sovereignty – China’s FM

The diplomat said the Chinese foreign ministry had made a serious representation to Japan’s ambassador in China

BEIJING, August 19 (Itar-Tass) — China demands Japan stops undertaking actions violating the country’s sovereignty, Spokesman of China’s Foreign Ministry Qin Gan said on Sunday commenting on landing of Japanese activists on Diaoyu islands /called Senkaku in Japan/.

The diplomat said the Chinese foreign ministry had made a serious representation to Japan’s ambassador in China.

Qin Gan stressed the actions of Japanese activists “violate sovereignty of China.” He called the Japanese side “to clear the incident” and warned against actions, which “prevent seriously development of relations between the two countries.”
