MOSCOW, August 18 (Itar-Tass) —— Moscow is not making new arms contracts with Syria, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
“We are not making new ones for the time being,” Lavrov told Sky News Arabia television in an interview, the text of which was posted on the Foreign Ministry’s official website on Saturday, August 18.
“Let’s be frank, we are talking about the weapons that were bought from the Soviet Union. We have said many times that we fulfilled old contracts,” the minister said.
