MOSCOW, August 18 (Itar-Tass) —— Syrian opposition supporters again gathered near the Russian Embassy in London, and British authorities did not prevent the demonstration, the Russian diplomatic representative office said on Saturday.
"A demonstration of supporters of the Syrian opposition again took place before the Consulate of the Russian Embassy in London on the night from August 17 to August 18, from 23:00 to 00:30," the embassy reported.
The demonstrators loudly chanted slogans to the accompaniment of drums. Police patrolled the site.
British authorities did not prevent the loud demonstration held at night in a residential area of the city, though it is contrary to the local regulations for public order, the embassy noted.
