BISHKEK, August 17 (Itar-Tass) — China is going to close its border with Kyrgyzstan for the next few days, a source at the public relations department of the border service of the Kyrgyz State Committee for National Security told Itar-Tass on Friday.
The border will be shut from August 18 to 21 on the Chinese side’s initiative in connection with a Muslim holiday.
It’s not the first time that the border is going to be shut down on Beijing’s initiative: it closes several times a year, usually, in connection with various holidays in China.
