MOSCOW, August 17 (Itar-Tass) — Aeroflot passengers, whose plane made an emergency landing in Iceland en route from New York to Moscow, arrived in the Russian capital, a source in Sheremetyevo International Airport told Itar-Tass on Friday.
An Airbus A-330 plane carrying 256 people made an unscheduled landing in Iceland on Thursday following a report of a bomb onboard.
On Thursday Aeroflot sent another plane from Moscow to Keflavik International Airport in Iceland, where all 256 passengers stayed.
“The plane landed in Moscow at 03:38 Moscow time,” the airport’s information service said.
No explosives were found onboard the plane, a Russian diplomat in Iceland told Itar-Tass by phone earlier.
