ST. PETERSBURG, August 16 (Itar-Tass) — Observers from the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly will monitor elections to the House of the Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus scheduled for September 23, 2012.
A source at the press service of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly told Itar-Tass on Thursday that the Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus for elections and republican referendums on Thursday had accredited seven observers from the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
Employees of the Secretariat of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Council and the International Institute for monitoring the development of democracy, parliamentarism and observation of citizens’ electoral rights will assess the election campaign.
