Pass control to be introduced on Russky Island during APEC summit

VLADIVOSTOK, August 16 (Itar-Tass) — Pass control will be introduced for security considerations on the Russky Island, which will host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum’s summit, in the period from August 25 to September 11. The press service of the administration of the capital of the Primorsky Territory told Itar-Tass that the island residents will get special passes for this period. Their distribution was started in the Vladivostok administration on Thursday.

The APEC summit will be held in the territory of the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in early September. Delegations from at least 20 countries of the Asia-Pacific region are expected to arrive in Vladivostok at this time.
