ASTANA, August 15 (Itar-Tass) —— Kazakhstan has enough grain to meet the needs of the main trading partners, Kazakhstan’s head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev said on Wednesday during a working visit to the Kostanai region.
“We expect to harvest 13 million tons of grain this year. Taking into account last year’s bumper harvest, the country’s export potential is enough to meet the needs of our main trading partners,” Nazarbayev said. The presidential press service circulated the text of Nazarbayev’s statement on Wednesday.
Kazakhstan’s record harvest of grain last year amounted to 27 million tons.
