KIEV, August 15 (Itar-Tass) — Ukraine will extradite Kazakh national Ivan Pyanzin, suspected of preparing a homicide attempt on Russian President Vladimir Putin, to Russia, following a decision of an Odessa district court.
Pyanzin is an accomplice of Adam Osmayev, whom the Odessa Court of Appeals decided to extradite to Russia on Tuesday at the request of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office.
Osmayev and his two accomplices arrived in Ukraine secretly. They learnt to make explosives in Odessa. An explosion and a fire occurred in an apartment which the three had rented on January 2012. One of the accomplices, Ruslan Madayev, died in the blast. Kazakh national Ilya Pyanzin was taken to an intensive care ward with severe burns. Adam Osmayev was wounded but managed to escape. Police detained him on February 4.
The Russian side asked Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office in May to extradite the dangerous criminals wanted by the Russian authorities for a number of crimes.
