Militant destroyed in special operation in Chechnya

During the special operation, a police officer got a bullet wound. The wounded was given necessary medical aid

GROZNY, August 14 (Itar-Tass) —— Chechen law enforcers destroyed a militant during a special search operation held in the republic, ITAR-TASS learnt at the press service of the Interior Ministry for the Chechen Republic.

According to the ministry, a clash occurred in a forest on the outskirts of the village of Khal-Keloi of the Shtoi region. During the detention, the militant offered armed resistance and was killed in return fire. The gunman was identified as a 23 year-old resident of Grozny.

As a representative of the press service said, during the special operation, a police officer got a bullet wound. The wounded was given necessary medical aid.

A Kalashnikov submachine-gun, five magazines to it and 120 cartridges were found at the site of the incident.
