LONDON, August 13 (Itar-Tass) —— A festive closing ceremony of the XXX Summer Olympic Games continues at the Olympic Stadium here on Sunday.
The symbolic name of the next part of the closing ceremony is the Road to Rio de Janeiro.
In the southern sector of the stadium a new stage is placed in the shape of an arrow, which is spearheaded to the host city of the Summer Olympic Games in 2016. The Greek national flag is raised and the anthem of the country is performed to honour the origins of the Olympic Games. The Olympic flag is lowered, followed by the Olympic anthem sung by the London Welsh Male Voice Choir and the London Welsh Rugby Club Choir.
London Mayor Boris Johnson hands the Olympic Flag to his Rio de Janeiro counterpart Eduardo Paes.
