Aerobatic teams from Turkey, Latvia not to fly in Zhukovsky

Aerobatics groups declined to participate for personal reasons

ZHUKOVSKY, Moscow region, August 12 (Itar-Tass) — Aerobatics groups from Turkey and Latvia will not take part in the ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian Air Force in Zhukovsky outside Moscow, Air Force spokesman, Colonel Vladimir Drik told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

“Aerobatics groups declined to participate for personal reasons,” he said.

Restored WWI and WWII fighter planes will make flights. The flight program also includes shows by aerobatic aces from Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Finland and France.

The celebration will be culminated with a breathtaking airshow by renowned Russian aerobatic teams – Russkiye Vityazi (Russian knights) and Strizhi (Swifts).
