Sun surrounded with mysterious dark matter – Zurich University research team

The conclusion was drawn from the newest mathematic model of mass distribution in galaxies

LONDON, August 10 (Itar-Tass) —— The Sun, on which the biological life on the Earth is fully dependent, is surrounded with mysterious dark matter, BBC reported with the reference to an international research team of the Zurich University, Switzerland.

A project supervisor said they were 99% sure that dark matter was surrounding the Sun. The conclusion was drawn from the newest mathematic model of mass distribution in galaxies.

Modern science believes that dark matter accounts for approximately 70% of the universe mass. Dark matter has no electro-magnetic emission and does not interact with such. Hence, direct monitoring of dark matter would be impossible. At the same time, the universe would have fallen apart if not for dark matter, scientists said.

It was believed until now that there was no dark matter near the Earth, which is located on the periphery of the Milky Way – the galaxy containing the solar system.

It is still unknown whether dark matter has an influence on humans and what influence that could be.
