MOSCOW, August 7 (Itar-Tass) — Military from the Russian bases situated in Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Armenia will not participate in the Kavkaz-2012 military exercise, deputy chief of the Russian Army General Staff told reporters on Tuesday.

“Our exercise has nothing to do with events in other countries, including in Georgia,” Colonel General Alexander Postnikov said. “However, in order to rule out any possibility of speculations on that issue, our military bases in Abkhazia, South Ossetia and even in Armenia will not participate in the Kavkaz-2012 exercise,” the top military stressed.
