KRASNOYARSK, August 6 (Itar-Tass) —— The suspects in the grenade blast at the yard of the residential house were detained here overnight to Monday. “The operatives have found all three suspects in the flat of their acquaintance, where they were hiding from police,” the press service of the Krasnoyarsk territorial police told Itar-Tass.
According to the police, the conflict sparked up between two groups of men in the yard of the residential house in the Avenue of Metallurgov on Saturday evening. “Three men were drinking alcohol at the entrance of the residential house, behaved impudently and violated the public order. The group of five people passing by has made a remark to them. The verbal duel emerged between them and a young man hit a debaucher. After that the drunken men left the courtyard,” the press service said.
Coming back some time later, the offenders hurled a grenade at the group of young people. The grenade exploded, four men and a 45-year-old woman got light fragmentation wound. “Four injured people were accidental pedestrians. Another wounded person is a participant in the conflict,” the police press service explained. The blast wave broke down five windows of the neighbouring residential house and damaged two cars by pieces of the grenade.
The injured people received immediate medical aid.
A piece of the grenade and a trigger guard, presumably from a grenade RGD-5 were confiscated at the blast site. The material evidence was passed for an expertise.
The Krasnoyarsk territorial investigation department of the Russian Investigation Committee noted that the explosion criminal case was opened under Article 105 for an attempt at murder and Article 222 for illegal storage of ammunition.
The investigation continues.
