Explosive device found in settlement of Kabardino-Balkaria

A big number of cartridges and a portable radio station were found in the house as well

NALCHIK, August 5 (Itar-Tass) — A home-made explosive device was found in a house in the settlement of Kashkhatau, in Russia’s southern republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, the press service of the republican interior ministry told Tass on Sunday.

Its sources said the explosive device was equivalent to 200 grams of TNT. They said the explosive device had been blasted at the site as it was dangerous to transport it. A big number of cartridges and a portable radio station were found in the house as well.

The owner of the house, keeping explosives and ammunition, is checked. Besides, a radio station, explosive devices, a TNT block and ammunition were seized in another house, where a man with criminal records live. Police look into where the explosives and ammunition came from.
